Geelong Cats has signed West Adelaide SANFLW player Emma Kilpatrick ahead of the 2025 NAB AFLW Season.
Kilpatrick, 18, is a highly skilled and hard running winger, who finished runner-up in West Adelaide’s Best & Fairest award in 2024, as well as winning the club’s Players’ Player award.
She was a member of the South Australian Under 18 National Championships squad last season, playing three games across the campaign, and represented the SANFLW representative team in the 2025 state league games against the VFLW and WAFLW.
In the SANFLW, Kilpatrick has played 41 games for West Adelaide, averaging 15 disposals, 3.3. marks and 1.8 clearances a game, as well as kicking three goals across six appearances to date in 2025.
Geelong Cats AFLW Operations and Recruiting Manager Ben Waller said the Club was thrilled to welcome Kilpatrick to the Hoops.
“Emma has been playing senior SANFLW football for West Adelaide for the past four seasons and has shown significant improvement and continued growth and development year on year, highlighted by a strong recent performance for the SANFL representative team against the VFLW and WAFLW.
“With pre-season starting next week, we can’t wait to welcome Emma into our program, and we are excited to see what she can bring in 2025.”
Geelong now has one list spot remaining ahead of the 2025 season, after Chantel Emonson and Anna-Rose Kennedy were placed on the inactive list.
