The Cats will spend yet another Saturday night at Etihad Stadium this week; against another top-four side in another game that will be decided in the centre of the ground.
Against North Melbourne last week, Geelong won the clearances (47-33) and the contested ball (144-107) count to win the game by 31 points and senior coach Chris Scott will be asking for more of the same against the Bulldogs on their home deck.
“Their ability to win the ball at Etihad means that the ball is in their forward half a lot and it’s hard to get it out,” Scott told this week’s episode of #TweetTheCoach.
“I think the battle inside against them – they’re clearly the best in the competition according to the numbers – is our first step in trying to mitigate their home ground advantage.”
