Cats great Garry Hocking recently received his legend's medal.
Hocking, who lives in South Australia, was presented with his medal when Geelong visited Adelaide to play a JLT Community Series match against the Crows.
A dynamic midfielder, Hocking played 274 games and kicked 243 goals for the Cats between 1987 and 2001.
Hocking was elevated to legend status some years ago, but the idea of presenting medals to the legends is a recent club innovation.
