Tom Hawkins celebrated a milestone on Easter Monday when he slotted his 400th AFL goal.

The big forward achieved the feat in the first quarter and continued on his merry way from there, finishing with 17 disposals, six marks and 4.2.

So his career tally now sits at an impressive 403 goals.

But if you look just at Hawkins' performances this season, an impressive trend is emerging.

He now has 16 goals to his name after four rounds, which is a marked improvement on his previous best effort through the first four rounds of a season.

Will Hawkins this year crack 70 goals in a season for the first time?

It sure looks likely at this stage.
