Complete Year 11 and 12 while immersed in the AFL, sport and recreation industries!
Geelong Cats through their partnership with SEDA College is offering year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to complete their senior secondary education while immersed in the football, sport and recreation industries.
What is SEDA?
SEDA is an education program that exists to engage, educate and empower young people as they transition from school to employment or further study. SEDA’s program was established in 2006 to meet the needs of young people whose education preference is for an applied and context relevant learning experience.
The partnership provides excellent opportunities for SEDA students to see the operations of an elite AFL club in action.
Students enrolled with the College are provided with some unique experiences and given the opportunity to work on a variety of activities and events, including:
- Match Days
- Community Programs including Bio Cats
- Family Days
- Super clinics
- School programs
- Work placements across different departments within the club
“The best thing about studying at SEDA is all the opportunities you get to work with Geelong and learning from key people in the industry” – Seth, SEDA Student
