Two Cats have been rewarded for strong VFLW form with a call-up to Geelong's AFLW team to take on Richmond this Saturday.

Laura Gardiner, who was dominant through the midfield with a game-high 27 disposals, six tackles and five clearances, and forward Madisen Maguire, who had 14 disposals, six tackles, four clearances and a goal, have come back into the line-up for Saturday's clash at the Swinburne Centre.

Ruck Rene Caris and midfielder Zali Friswell have both been omitted, with Friswell and Liv Fuller named emergencies.

Kate Darby has been named starting ruck, with Liv Barber and Phoebe McWilliams the starting talls in the forward line.

The Cats will be striving for their second win of the season, but have a tough task before them with the Tigers riding on a high after a strong win against West Coast Eagles in WA last round.

The Cats take on the Tigers at the Swinburne Centre from 5.10pm AEDT on Saturday, 26 February 2022.
