PATRICK Dangerfield has opened his 2022 season with a perfect 10 votes from the coaches in Geelong's Round 1 victory against Essendon on Saturday.
The 31-year-old ran riot with 22 disposals and nine inside-50s before half-time to help setup the Cats' 66-point victory.
Fittingly in the Powercor Country Festival clash, Tom Hawkins received eight votes from Chris Scott and Ben Rutten after he caused all sorts of problems for the Bombers' defence on his way to kicking four goals and setting up numerous others.
Brandan Parfitt was another Cat that was influential throughout with team highs for disposals (32), metres gained (632) and clearances (11).
Tom Atkins (21 disposals, 9 intercepts), Joel Selwood (27 disposals, 6 clearances) and Brad Close (16 disposals, 2 goals) also featured in the votes for Geelong.
