Geelong’s skipper Joel Selwood has dropped to second place on the AFL Coaches Association leaderboard for this years Champion Player of the Year.

Sunday’s loss meant Selwood’s top position, which he held for the first five rounds, was lost to last year’s winner Gary Ablett, who now sits on 40 votes and Selwood follows on 34. Steve Johnson has also kept his spot in fourth place with a total of 27 votes.

Mathew Stokes, who won a team high of 28 disposals on Sunday, was the only Cat who received a vote from the coaches for his efforts during the team’s 40-point loss.
