Tyson Stengle was judged the best Cat on the ground by the coaches during Saturday’s heart stopping win over Richmond, after he was awarded with six combined votes.
Richmond’s Liam Baker just missed out on the maximum, picking up nine votes from Chris Scott and Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.
The 23-year-old Stengle was once again superb for Geelong in front of goal, collecting 18 touches and taking six marks to go along with three goals.
It’s the seventh time this year that he’s kicked three or more majors and has now placed himself firmly in the All-Australian team discussion.
Mark Blicavs (5), Tom Stewart (4), Cam Guthrie (2), Zach Tuohy (1) and Jeremy Cameron (1) were the other Cats among the votes.
Jeremy Cameron is the highest ranked Cat on the leaderboard in seventh place.
