Geelong forward Jeremy Cameron says he’s ‘feeling really good’ as he recovers from low-level hamstring strain sustained during the Cats Round 22 win over the Gold Coast.

Cameron went to the bench during the final term of the Suns clash and took no further part, the Cats taking a conservative approach with its star forward, but he is expected to be ready to take on Collingwood next weekend in the First Qualifying Final.

Speaking to K rock on Tuesday morning, Cameron said he pulled up well after the game and is progressing well.

“It's going really well,” he said. “I ran really well yesterday.”

“A lot of people don't really understand but you get moving pretty quickly, three days post a hamstring you're jogging if it's feeling ok.

“I was lucky enough to pull up really well from it and I'm fully clear at the moment.

“There's no pain or anything so feeling really good.”

Cameron is one of three Cats to have been nominated for the Leigh Matthews Trophy alongside Mark Blicavs and Tom Hawkins, and will also be vying for his fifth All-Australian blazer on Wednesday night as one of five Geelong players in the initial squad of 44 after kicking 59 goals in 21 games this season.
