Dan Lowther On... The Narrow Loss to the Reigning Premiers

Up to that last 90 seconds we were still a chance to win the game.

I don't feel like we didn't have control of the game, so the feedback to the players was that we had moments in the game where we were controlling the game, controlling the way the game was played, and moving the ball quite well.

I think early on Adelaide had significant impact and control but after the first quarter in particular we played pretty good footy, but we just couldn't quite get the inside 50s and that forward half pressure we'd have in the last four weeks.

The wash up post game was that we did a lot right, it was just about refining how we go into the next week and hopefully further on and a few areas that Adelaide stopped us in, which for us is good learning.

Dan Lowther On... Sydney

We still want to maintain the way we play the game which is important so contested ball and pressure are really the key focus for us, which it is from what I see from Sydney as well. They're an extremely young group with really good individual players like all the expansion teams are and they are a high pressure team, a contested ball team as well so they're finding their groove.

If that pressure is not there you're not going to match it against any team let alone a young team who since Round 5 have hit their straps and found some really good form.

They've pushed Essendon to the brink and probably could have won that game. They were ahead of Hawthorn, and they were right up to it against Fremantle, so they've been in winnable positions off the back of hunger and pressure so, cliche I know, but if we don't bring that hunting mentality to this team, it'll be a tough day.

Dan Lowther On... The Ladder Predictor

Obviously, you keep an eye on how things might pan out to help your preparation, but there's obviously the top three are pretty well set, and then you've got that fourth spot that is still up for grabs for two or three teams, depending on results.

And then it's just a shuffle at the bottom of the eight; the game on Friday night where teams who haven't got an impact on finals this season can impact how the top eight looks, so there are lots of opportunities to shift and change and I'm hoping that we can just take care of what our team can take care of on Saturday, and we get a win and then it puts us in a good spot to go forward from there.

Dan Lowther On... Nina Morrison's Milestone

It's phenomenal for her to get to 25 games.

It feels like she's been around the competition since its inception of it, but she's just one of the most genuine, driven people that I've ever met, she leaves no stone unturned in terms of her prep and the way she plays the game, she's a student of the game, she's a leader of our club and she's still ony 21.

And that's the beauty of where she's sitting after two knee reconstructions, eight games I think she played in that period, considering what she's put together in nearly two seasons of football, and she has a significant impact on the way we play our game and the success we've had, she's a major part of that.
