Lowther on the improved performance...

From my perspective it was a good response from the past couple of weeks. For us to have a better second half with our opportunities to score was the main thing. To kick 6.11 showed we've got the capacity still to play good consistent footy post half time.

So, that was the message leading into the game this week, to get that consistency piece and I thought having shots on goal and the game in our front half for longer periods supported that, but every win is important.

Lowther on Aishling Moloney's development...

I think she is picking the nuances of the game up really quickly, you talk about leading up as opposed to staying still and waiting for the ball to come to her or getting in behind..

She is starting to read the queues of how the ball is moving and it's helping her decision making off the back. She showed early in the game that when she moves and presents at the right time she's hard to beat. So, she is picking up the game really well.

Rach Kearns playing as a defender as well is starting to find her groove. It is just practice and time isn't it. Practice and time.

Gunjaca on training against Aishling Moloney...

She makes it very difficult. She has so much speed and is so smooth and silky. It makes our jobs as defenders really hard which makes us better as well.

Lowther on the midfield changes that led to an improvement in contested ball...

I found the last couple of weeks that we were trying to reach a bit in terms of making things happen and trying hard but maybe trying hard the wrong way at times.

We simplified a few things and made a few changes around how you can each compliment each other so we are not trying to all do the same thing. So putting different players in different positions supported that change and it worked to their strengths as well.

Nina (Morrison) out on the wing. It won't be every week and she did well for us out there. Supporting our inside and outside as well. We've got the flexibility to do that which is important and to keep building players like Darce (Moloney). A younger player getting her into a position where she can have influence on the games for longer and today was good.
