Cats go back to school
Yesterday the players had a day off from their training track to visit 80 local schools
Yesterday all the Geelong players had an exciting day out from the Cattery to visit as many schools as they could in the city of Geelong and its surrounding countryside.
The Geelong Cats packed their day bags and travelled to 80 different primary and secondary schools throughout Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula, where they got to meet some of their biggest and greatest fans.
With so many schools to see in one day, the Cats decided to split up in to small groups of three, which allowed them to visit four schools each.
The Cats day out involved a variety of footy clinics, educational talks and Q&A sessions at each school to help promote the importance of healthy habits, including a number of requested sessions such as:
Classroom talks on self-esteem, fitness and health
Life as an athlete
Leadership workshops
Teamwork and positivity workshops
As well as joining the students' PE class
