Woods is one of many from the Geelong Falcons program, who has earned their spot in the Geelong Cats VFLW team.
Bryde O’Rourke, Brooke Plummer and Olivia Cicolini all hit the scoreboard for the Cats as they rounded out a strong win on the road.
Fans were treated to early goals from both sides, with Woods slotting her first just two minutes into the game.
The Kangaroos struck back immediately however, equalling the game with their first major the very next minute.
Geelong were able to grab a hold of the game through repeat inside 50’s, controlling possession for the remainder of the quarter.
Mason and Woods kicked truly as Geelong ended the quarter with three goals and a 17 point buffer.
Much of the same followed in the second quarter, as Geelong’s pressure in their forward 50 suffocated North Melbourne defenders, who struggled to move the ball into their forward half.
Mason got on the board with her second and showed off her strong marking ability, before North pegged one back with just seconds remaining before the main break.
The Roos turned up the heat in the third quarter and put one through the big sticks early, further closing the gap with their second straight goal.
Geelong absorbed the hit and bounced back, kicking the next three goals and taking the margin to 31 points.
O’Rourke got amongst the goals, caressing through her first major in the blue and white hoops.
An early goal off the ground for Mason, her third for the day, all but cemented the victory for Geelong as they ran out victors by 24 points, securing their third victory for the season.
Geelong will look to carry their form into next weeks contest, where they’ll be taking on the Carlton Blues at Ikon Park.
