Geelong has used 32 players across their first 13 games of the year, with 20 of these aged 27 years or younger, creating a bright future at GMHBA Stadium.
The output of the players in the highlighted age bracket has been exceptional in 2024, with many leading the way in numerous statistical categories.
On the back of his two-year contract extension, Tanner Bruhn has been dominant in contested situations, leading Geelong for clearances, while sitting top three at the club for contested possessions and tackles.
Tyson Stengle leads the Cats goalkicking tally, sitting eighth in the Coleman Medal race after an incredible opening half of the season.
Another player taking his game to new heights in 2024 is Max Holmes, accumulating the most disposals for Geelong while also sitting in the club’s top three for clearances, contested possessions and inside 50s.
Ollie Dempsey has enjoyed a brilliant season, averaging 16 disposals per game, while also booting 10 goals to land himself in the conversation for the AFL’s Rising Star award.
The Cats have also got valuable game time into a host of other budding stars, such as ruckman Toby Conway, defender Oisin Mullin and key forward Shannon Neale.
Assist king Gryan Miers is piecing together another brilliant season, Zach Guthrie has been a standout across half back, Ollie Henry continues to be a threat in front of goal and Brad Close leads the Cats for goal assists this season.
