The final moment in the review series takes us back to the opening week of September, when Geelong headed to Adelaide for a clash with the Power in a blockbuster Qualifying Final.

Adelaide Oval is widely regarded as one of the toughest road trips each year, add in the pressure of a Final and it resulted in a tense atmosphere as the Cats looked to book their place in another Preliminary Final.

The venue also had not been kind to Geelong in past Finals series, having lost their first three postseason matches at Adelaide Oval.

Looking to get off to a fast start on the road, Jeremy Cameron provided the ultimate nerve settler with a goal that defied physics from tight against the boundary line.

Carrying momentum the Cats controlled plenty of the play in the opening term, recording 10 scoring shots but some slightly inaccurate kicking meant their lead was just three points at the first break.

The game's first significant shift came midway through the second quarter, when Geelong piled on five unanswered goals to extend their lead to 20 points at half time.

Jeremy Cameron rolled home another sensational goal, Tyson Stengle had three majors by the main break, while Max Holmes and Patrick Dangerfield were putting on a clinic through the midfield.

If there were any nerves surrounding a potential Port Adelaide comeback after half time, Geelong quickly put them to bed with a barnstorming third quarter that saw them build an unassailable lead by the final change.

Jack Bowes and Shaun Mannagh started the run in their first Finals match, as the Cats recorded 12 scoring shots to two and their buffer was out to 55 points at three quarter time.

Keeping the foot on the throat into the final term, Geelong continued to extend the margin with another six goals to eventually run away with a huge 84 point win.

The scoreline from the 10 minute mark of the second quarter onwards was simply incredible, with Geelong piling on 27 scoring shots and 16 goals to Port Adelaide's nine scoring shots and two goals.

After half time the Cats kicked 11 goals to one, lead by four majors from both Jeremy Cameron and Tyson Stengle.

Max Holmes (28 disposals, four clearances) and Patrick Dangerfield (24 disposals, eight inside 50's) both dominated through the middle, while Zach Guthrie (27 disposals, 11 intercepts) stifled the Port Adelaide forward line all night.
