De Koning on the focus of his game
That is what it is all about, just backing myself in and knowing my strengths.
I am just attacking and playing my brand of footy, trying to win the ball back for the team. I am trying to do all the little things and set myself up so I can attack the game, to play it how I want to play it.
I am happy to be playing consistently for the team and trying to work to help us win games.
As long as I am doing what the coaches are asking of me and helping my teammates, then I am happy.
De Koning on the split between ruck and defence
I love the challenge of anything that 'Scotty' throws my way.
As I have said, I just want to be that player who can play in different positions and play well for the team, to help the team.
If I get the tap on the shoulder and that means playing in the ruck, then I will try and put my best foot forward to play as well as I can for the team.
De Koning on overcoming injuries the past two years
It is great. Obviously the last two seasons has been a bit riddled with injuries, I haven't really been able to string too many games together.
It has been amazing to have a 100% healthy body this year, to be able to attack the season and feel really fit and ready to go.
I have just been running on top of the ground, being able to attack the footy an play my brand of footy.
It has been really exciting and I am really happy with how the year is going so far.
De Koning on the importance of Mark Blicavs
'Blitz' is just the ultimate role model for me.
Personally I have taken so much from him and learned so much, what he was able to do on Saturday night was unbelievable.
I love taking things from his game and how he works for his teammates, and his ability to play everywhere to help the team.
What he did the other night was very impressive, we are super proud of what he did. He did an amazing job.
