Cats president recovering from heart attack
Geelong president Colin Carter is recovering after suffering a heart attack last week
Fortunately Colin was able to get to the hospital very quickly and the indications are good for a full recovery.
The club has asked that Carter’s privacy be respected as he continues to recover from this episode.
Carter has been Cats president since December 2010. He was originally a member of the club’s board from 1988 until 1993 before he retired in order to join the AFL commission. Carter remained on the AFL commission until 2008. He then rejoined the Geelong board.
The club’s board was recently re-elected unopposed for a further three year term.
