Newly appointed VFL captain Tom Atkins will get his first chance to lead the blue and white when the Cats take on Werribee at Torquay on Easter Sunday.
There will be more firsts at the blockbuster clash too with Luke Kiel, Nathan Horbury, Sam Siggins and Jackson McLachlan all set to play their first game for Geelong.
The Cats squad of 31 will be trimmed following the AFL sides final selection on Saturday afternoon.
The game will kick off at Torquay’s Spring Creek Reserve at 2.00pm.
