Geelong coach Chris Scott says it will be team defence and not individuals that match it with the Giants on Saturday night.

The Cats will tackle Greater Western Sydney on their home deck at Spotless Stadium and Scott believes his side has the system to take it up to the ladder-leaders.

“We’ll definitely back our system against them,” Scott told Momentum Energy’s #AskTheCoach this week.

“It would be a big departure for us to go and play them really hard one-on-one.”

“Our strong view is that modern team defence is the best way to go. They’re a really quick team … but they’re a really hard running team as well. It’s important that our system holds up rather than focusing on the individuals too much.”
