Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett has thrown his support behind the Cats in Friday night’s preliminary final at the Adelaide Oval.
Using his daily take to open 1116 SEN’s Hungry for Sport program on Thursday morning, the five-time premiership player looked into his crystal ball and saw Geelong as the first team through to this year’s grand final.
“I have become increasingly bullish about the Cats chances to knock off Adelaide tomorrow night,” Bartlett spruiked.
“The Crows, for starters, have lost two very good players in Brodie Smith and Mitch McGovern. That is not to be underestimated and that is going to hurt big time.”
“And Chris Scott got his Cats purring when he got the formula right last week and destroyed the Sydney Swans.”
“It looks like everything is falling into place for the Cats.”
The 403-game champion even went as far to say the exciting Nakia Cockatoo should return to the Geelong side.
“For now it looks like Nakia Cockatoo is ready to go,” he said.
“He has explosive pace and goal kicking ability and is an X-Factor player who can light up the main stage.”
“And of course, the ever-reliable Tom Lonergan comes back in to take on the likes of Tex Walker and Josh Jenkins.”
“All the stars and the planets have aligned for the Cats.”
“My crystal ball tells me it’s all going to fall apart for the Crows and Geelong will be the first team through to the Grand Final.”
The Cats face the Crows in a blockbuster preliminary final at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night. The winner will earn the right to play off in this year’s grand final.
