In August 2015, John Nankervis, brother of Geelong greats Ian and Bruce lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving behind wife Norma, his three children and 10 grandchildren.

John was well known in the community firstly for his electrical business, which he ran for over 40 years with his brother Bruce and his long sporting involvement with local football, tennis and cycling.

John had a real zest to live life to the full and a relentless enthusiasm to help others which is evident by his involvement for over 38 years with Apex and Rotary.

Since John’s passing, Ian, Bruce and sister Heather have been working with Pancare to raise funds for research into pancreatic cancer.

So far the siblings have raised over $15,000 and are now teaming up with the Geelong Cats to continue their fundraising work.

Two online auctions are currently underway with unique experiences at next weekend’s Cats v Tigers clash up for grabs.
