Herald Sun football writer Jon Ralph has featured Geelong heavily in his mid-season awards.
Speaking on 1116 SEN on Wednesday morning, Ralph named Chris Scott as best coach, defender Zach Tuohy as best recruit and pitched the Cats’ round 12 victory over Adelaide as the best win of the year so far.
First-year player Tom Stewart was also listed as best surprise packet.
Richmond’s Dustin Martin was selected as best player with Patrick Dangerfield a close second.
