Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan says there’s no time to dwell on the Cats’ 29-point loss to Collingwood, as the side looks to rebound quickly against the Gold Coast this week.
The Cats were shaky in what Duncan described as a “frustrating game”, with the Pies rallying against the previously undefeated Geelong despite weeks of intense scrutiny.
Duncan was one of his side’s best on the day, collecting 27 disposals and a goal and says while it was a disappointing display, a six-day break means there is no time to waste before taking on the Suns at Metricon Stadium.
“[It was a] very tough day. Disappointing to get the loss,” said the 25-year-old on-baller.
“[There’s] a lot to work on through the week and a short turn around which is good, we can rectify ourselves pretty quickly.”
“We’ll review the game pretty thoroughly and work on things that we need to get better at.”
The Cats will face the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.
