Geelong has nominated Sam Simpson as a potential father-son recruit at next month's NAB AFL Draft.
The young midfielder is the son of former Cats onballer Sean Simpson, who played 114 games in the hoops between 1991-98 after crossing from St Kilda, where he played seven matches.
Simpson, who stands 180cm tall, played nine games and kicked five goals for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup during the 2016 season.
What draft pick the Cats will need to use to snare Simpson will be determined after the other clubs have made a call on whether to bid for him or not.
