Jed Bews

Playing down back Bews was solid against Footscray ending the game with 13 disposals, five marks, four tackles and three rebounds from defensive 50.

Cory Gregson

Unfortunately for Gregson he was held out of the Cats VFL game as the emergency for the AFL team. However the Cats coaches know what the dynamo can bring to the AFL side. On Etihad Stadium against a fleet footed Bulldogs unit, Gregson may be just what the doctor ordered.

Tom Hawkins

Chris Scott confirmed Tom Hawkins will return this week after serving his one-week suspension. Look for Hawkins to make it up to teammates and fans alike on Saturday night.

Michael Luxford

Luxford took best-on-ground honours for the VFL Cats on Saturday in an impressive performance. Luxford finished with 19 disposals, five marks and five tackles.

Sam Menegola

In his second game back, Menegola found more of the ball than any other Cat in the VFL. 23 disposals (13 contested), five marks, four clearances and four inside 50s were his final numbers. If and when the Cats think he’ll be ready to run out an AFL game remains to be seen. But watch this space!

Nathan Vardy

Vardy put together one of his most complete VFL performances for 2016, finishing the day with 11 disposals, 12 hitouts, six clearances and a goal. Will find going hard to get into the AFL side however due to Hawkins return.
