Join VicHealth for a “Walk Around The Park”

Join us before the game on Sunday for your chance to win team-signed guernseys, inner sanctum experiences and a victory lap around Simonds Stadium! 

Getting active is easy, but finding motivation can be hard. To help you #findyourmotivation, the Cats and VicHealth are putting on a ‘Walk Around The Park’ from 3pm before our Round 3 clash against the Lions.

First 500 participants in the walk will receive a Cats show bag with giveaways, fresh fruit and heaps more!

The walk will take place around Kardinia Park oval. The perimeter of the oval will be marked with Cats and VicHealth banners to show you the way. Please click here to view the walking course. 

Kids Zone 

We have heaps of fun activities for the kids before the game – what a great way to finish off the school holidays! From 2.30 until 5.00pm, at our Kardinia Park Kids Zone, you will find: 

• Big inflatables

• Face painting

• Food trucks

• AFL Active

• Stacks of giveaways

• Half Cat appearance

• Cats Shop merchandise van

Fan Zone

Don’t miss our Fan Zone activation on the concourse from 2.30pm! Krock will be broadcasting live on the day, plus Morris Finance will have a kick simulator and a heap of giveaways!

Reserved Seat Holders

Members with a Simonds Stadium Reserved Seat package can scan in using their membership card (or temporary pass) to access their seat.

General Admission Members

General Admission Members will be able to scan in to the ground using their membership card (or temporary pass) and access general admission standing room in the Ablett Terrace (subject to capacity). Accessible via Gate 1 Polly Farmer. It’s recommended that GA members upgrade to a reserved seat via Ticketmaster. Click here for more ticketing information. 

Ticket sales on match day are strictly subject to availability. Location of Ticketmaster Box Offices will be at Gate 1, 5, 6, 8, 14. There will be a dedicated ticket collections point at Gate 6. Click here to view a map of Simonds Stadium.

• Bernie Smith Gate 6 – Box Office window: Go here for membership sales & enquiries, match day enquiries and membership card & ticketing collection. This location will close at the end of half time.

• Membership Outlet – Next to the Hoops Bar: Go here for membership sales & enquiries, match day enquiries and 2016 member item collection. This location will close 20 minutes after final siren.

• Polly Farmer Gate marquee: Go here for membership sales & enquiries and match day enquiries. This location will close at 5pm.

• Bernie Smith Gate marquee: Go here for membership sales & enquiries and match day enquiries. This location will close at 5pm.

Make sure you're game ready and check out all the new arrivals at our club operated Cats Shop and pop ups around Simonds Stadium from 2:30pm. All profits go directly towards the club and remember, all members get 10% off!

Public transport

Train
South Geelong train station is a short five-minute walk from Simonds Stadium. V/line run special footy trains on match day, in addition to their regular services, which makes this a great option for getting to the game. To view the additional footy services, please visit www.vline.com.au/footy.

Car Parking

For those driving to the game, there is limited car parking available in the Kardinia Park precinct. The cost for members is $7 and non-members is $10. All funds go directly to AFL Barwon (who run the car parking). On-street parking is also available in surrounding areas (paid and unpaid), however please be mindful of parking restrictions.

Customer Service Ambassadors

Due to the redevelopments taking place at Simonds Stadium throughout the 2016 season, we understand some Cats fans and members may have questions relating to this. Whether these questions are about changes to your seating location, gate access points or closest ATMs, we want to make sure your match day runs smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible.

There will be dedicated Customer Service Ambassadors set up over five locations on match day to assist with any of your enquiries. Please keep as eye out for the red ‘information’ flags and the Ambassadors in branded caps and hi-vis caps and vests.

ATMs

There will be two ATMs available for use Round 3 match day, they can be found:

• Upon entry at Gate 1 – Polly Farmer

• Upon entry at Gate 5 – Bernie Smith

New Turnstiles

You may notice there are new turnstiles in place at Gates 1, 5 & 8. Please note, these turnstiles are not currently in use. The club and stadium operations are finalising testing on these and it’s estimated they will be ready for the upcoming rounds.
