There's no doubt that the Cats' two superstar midfielders, Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield, were the driving force behind the 69-point victory over the Brisbane Lions at Simonds Stadium on Sunday evening.
Selwood was back to his brilliant best, racking up 34 touches, 19 of which were contested.
On top of that, Selwood won 13 clearances and sent the ball inside Geelong's 50m arc five times.
The performance demonstrated that the skipper is now well and truly over the injury problems that restricted him during the pre-season.
Dangerfield was also at the top of his game, particularly in the first half.
By the long break, he had 20 disposals and two goals to his name and the game was as good as over.
His second goal, which he bombed from long range after the quarter-time siren, had the Cats fans dancing in the aisles.
Dangerfield spent a lot of time in the forward line in the second half, and bobbed up with a third goal in the last quarter.
So Selwood and Dangerfield racked up a grand total of 60 disposals, which was a great result.
But as Chris Scott noted after the game, the big-guns had plenty of help.

Mitch Duncan bounced back from being steamrolled by Shane Mumford up in Canberra to run riot in the middle of the park.
Steven Motlop, Cameron Guthrie, Jimmy Bartel and Mark Blicavs also won a heap of the ball.
So here's our question for this Monday ...
Who were the Cats' best midfielders against the Lions whose surnames are not Selwood or Dangerfield?
