GEELONG has unveiled a new playing jumper for next year's NAB Challenge.
The club on Tuesday announced a new sponsorship deal with Cotton On Group.
As part of the deal, Cotton On's high-performance sportswear category, COAR (Cotton On Active Range), will be the Cats' sole apparel sponsor from November 1.
While the classic guernsey will remain the same for the home and away season, the Cats will wear the short-sleeved rugby-style top in next year's NAB Challenge.
Developed in partnership with Cats Josh Caddy, Mitch Duncan, George Horlin-Smith and Scott Selwood, the apparel boasts a number of functions, including moisture management and odour control.
The shorts will also feature a "Patty Pocket" after a request from superstar Patrick Dangerfield to have a place to put his mouthguard when lining up for goal.
The Cats won't be the first club to wear a short-sleeved jumper.
Hawthorn famously wore the 't-shirt' style in the 2000 pre-season competition.
