The Geelong Football Club is mourning the passing of longtime supporter, staff member and life member Terry Hogan, who has died at the age of 95.

A student at Geelong's St Joseph's College during his younger days, Hogan worked for the Cats in a range of roles for more than three decades.

He was the club's under-19s manager between 1954 and '56.

He was then a key member of the social club, focussing on fundraising, between 1957 and '65.

Having been made a life member in 1964, Hogan joined the club's committee in 1966.

He stepped down from the committee upon being appointed as the Cats' general manager in 1973.

He held that position until his retirement on February 24, 1986.

Hogan's funeral will take place on Wednesday.
