CATS youngster Cory Gregson has set his sights on spending more time in the midfield next year.
The 19-year-old South Australian enjoyed an outstanding debut season in 2015, running teams ragged with his efforts across half-forward.
Now he’s aiming to add a harder edge to his game.
“I’m going to be working on my contested footy a lot [during the pre-season],” Gregson told geelongcats.com.au.
“I want to become more of an inside player and work my way up into the midfield.”
Gregson admits that he still can’t quite believe how well he played in his first campaign with the Cats.
“I had no expectation to play 20 games, and to be able to do that made me really happy with myself,” he said.
“It has set a good standard for me coming into this year.”
