Geelong Cats have announced a new partnership with compensation law firm, Shine Lawyers, to assist in its’ Victorian expansion and new branch in the Geelong CBD.
The partnership will also involve Shine taking part in a number of the club’s key community programs including ‘Just Think’, an initiative to influence cultural change surrounding alcohol-fuelled violence.
Geelong Cats Chief Executive, Brian Cook, applauded the partnership for its strong community messaging.
“Just Think is a powerful program driving significant cultural change through editorial, social media and community engagement. The support from Shine Lawyers not only aids in driving the message through local sporting clubs, but also brings national awareness to this very important issue,” Cook said.
With more than 40 branches across Australia including five in Victoria, Shine Lawyers has grown to become one of the largest compensation law firms in Australia.
Shine Lawyers General Manager Victoria Katalin Blond said the partnership was an exciting move for the firm and would provide greater exposure to the communities of Victoria.
“Supporting local sporting clubs is an important part of our continued commitment to the people we provide legal assistance to every day. It’s another way we can get to know our clients and listen to their needs and hear about the big issues affecting them and their families,” Ms Blond said.
“Geelong is one of the oldest and most established clubs in the AFL and we are proud to be partnering with such a well-respected team whose values are aligned to our own here at Shine.”
The new partnership will see Shine Lawyers aligned with the club through to the 2017 season.
