This Saturday three Geelong players will reach significant milestones when they step out onto Simonds Stadium for their first home final in 116 years.

Geelong’s 14-year midfielder, Joel Corey, will play his 274th game this week which means he’ll draw level with former Cat Garry Hocking in sixth place in Geelong’s history.

The most games for the Geelong Cats are Ian Nankervis (325 games), John Newman (300 games), Darren Milburn (292 games), Peter Riccardi (288 games), Matthew Scarlett (284 games), Garry Hocking (274 games), Joel Corey (273 games), Corey Enright (265 games), Paul Couch (259 games) and Bruce Nankervis (253 games).

The popular veteran, Paul Chapman, who debuted in the year 2000 with fellow teammate Joel Corey, will also join the list when he plays his 250th game in the blue and white hoops this Saturday against the Dockers.

Another Geelong milestone will be achieved by three time premiership player and Brownlow medalist, Jimmy Bartel, who will match the club record of former team mate Matthew Scarlett for most finals in the club’s history when he plays his 22nd final this week.
