Sunrise visits Cattery
Early Friday morning Rebecca Maddern and Sunrise dropped by the Cattery to present the weather, catch all the action here.
Friday morning Geelong’s female number one ticket holder, Rebecca Maddern, hosted channel seven’s Sunrise weather at Simonds Stadium, which featured seven segments capturing various corners of the club.
One of Maddern’s most important visits was the newly built Deakin Cats Community Centre, where the Cats development program BioCats was in full swing. Young students from Roslyn Primary School gave a brilliant demonstration of some of the many activities that BioCats offer.
Maddern continued her tour of the centre and made her way to the club’s proud memorabilia room, where the first ever Brownlow Medal, which was awarded to ‘Carji Greeves’ in 1924, is on display.
Next Maddern met with Geelong’s captain Joel Selwood and senior coach Chris Scott.
Little Archie Johnson, Boh Enright, Freddy Mackie and Alfie and Monty Wojcinski also came along with their Mums and joined Maddern for the eight o’clock cross.
To finish off the morning young Steven Motlop pulled out the guitar while the players were having breakfast and performed one of his original songs.
