The Cats will be looking to bounce back against the Bombers on Friday night and with potential injuries to Mathew Stokes and Hamish McIntosh, there could be some forced changes. Take a look at those who are putting up their hands.

Harry Taylor
The Cats gave Taylor up until Thursday afternoon to prove his fitness but the All-Australian wasn’t able to overcome the knee soreness in time. He’ll once again have to prove he is right to go but with an extra week of recovery his chances should be improved.

Darcy Lang
Lang went back to VFL action after his debut against the Saints. 14 touches, five marks and a goal from the agile forward against Werribee in what was a tight tussle. The fast track of Etihad Stadium will suit the first year player.

Jesse Stringer
Stringer was a tad unlucky to be omitted for the  clash with the Suns after showing plenty in his two performances before that game. With clouds of Mathew Stokes’ availability, Stringer will be right in the mix for a return despite being the travelling emergency against the Suns.

Dawson Simpson
The Cats gave Simpson a week off, the week after giving Hamish McIntosh the same treatment. With McIntosh in a moon boot at Melbourne Airport on Sunday afternoon, Simpson may get his chance to shoulder the ruck load against the Bombers.

Open Training and Mid-Season Market is on the first Tuesday of the School Holidays. View event details here.

George Horlin-Smith
Horlin-Smith was another Cat who wasn’t able to prove his fitness after being subbed out of the Saints game with back soreness. He also will have appreciated the weekend off to prove his fitness and will just need to tick some boxes to make himself available.

Jarrad Jansen
Could the Cats blood a fourth debutant in three weeks? After the success of Hartman, Lang and Kersten in their first games, Jansen could be given the chance after a 24 disposal, 10 clearance effort against Werribee.

Brad Hartman
Like Stringer, Hartman was a travelling emergency for the Cats on the Gold Coast. An impressive debut, the Cats lack of speed against the Suns and the injury to Stokes could see Hartman line up for game two against the Bombers.
