Geelong has selected local boy Nick Bourke in the 2013 rookie draft.

Bourke was taken by the Cats with pick 31 and the classy wingman was also a member of the AFL's AIS academy this season.

A medium midfielder with fantastic athleticism and overhead marking ability, Bourke can play at both ends of the ground as well as through the midfield.

A thumping left-foot kick, he loves to run and carry the footy on the outside. Has clean hands and likes to bring his teammates into the game.
