Cats spread the Deadly Choices message in Brisbane

While in the sunshine state for their Round 13 clash with the Brisbane Lions, Mathew Stokes, Allen Christensen and Steven Motlop helped spread the Deadly Choices message at a clinic, held at AFL Queensland headquarters.

Deadly Choices' objective is to increase awareness of the protective factors of Aboriginal specific health outcomes such as ‘saying no to smokes’ and adopting ‘healthy lifestyle choices’ such as connection to culture, healthy eating and physical activity.

As part of the Deadly Choices program, ambassadors Mathew Stokes, Allen Christensen and Steven Motlop took part in a clinic with approximately 50 local kids on Monday.

With many kids donning the blue and white hoops, the boys introduced themselves, their traditional country and explained what Deadly Choice they have chosen to make.

The kids were then put through their paces with drills and a game of footy with their AFL idols. The clinic finished with a barbeque lunch of kangaroo burgers.
