ATT: Johnson greatest of all time?
Cats TV asked James Kelly and Scott Gullan to discuss Steve Johnson's achievements and how they view him as an AFL player
Argue the Toss caught up with, James Kelly, and journalist, Scott Gullan, on Cats TV, where they spoke about Steve Johnson as he comes up to his 200th AFL game this week.
The talented midfielder has had an incredible career winning 143 games out of 199. Having played along side Johnson for many years, Kelly is in awe of his mental strength, as well as his natural ability to snap a goal from any angle.
“I think in terms of his goal sense he’d have to be one of the best, playing as much footy with him as I have and seeing some of the goals that he’s kicked, not only during games or big games but also out on the training track, there is something in that that everyone admires.”
According to Gullan Johnson is as fit as he’s ever been and he compares his on-field expertise to Gary Ablett senior.
“He has to be one of the greatest most skillful players I’ve seen, he does stuff the other generation would have seen Gary Ablett do, and now he’s as fit as he’s ever been at nearly 30,” Gullan said.
