The Cats may be without key forward James Podsiadly for its clash with the Kangaroos Friday night after he was offered a one week suspension by the AFL’s match review panel.

Podsiadly was cited for striking Jack Steven in the second quarter of Saturday night’s game.

The incident arose when Podsiadly, driven forward by a St Kilda tackle, lifted his arm to protect himself and caught Steven high.

Podsiadly’s existing bad record saw a combination of 173.75 demerit points that can be reduced to 130 and a one match suspension with an early plea.
