McDonald was a standout in Geelong’s 29-point loss to Collingwood on Saturday with 15 disposals, five tackles and two centre clearances.
The 23-year-old received 23% of your vote.
Midfielders dominated the top three with Rebecca Webster (16%) and Olivia Purcell (13%) other popular choices.
Webster was Geelong’s leading ball winner with 18 disposals and was second for metres gained with 294.
Purcell also won plenty of the football with 17 touches and had an equal team-high four clearances.
First-gamer Olivia Barber (12%) got her AFLW career off to the perfect start, kicking a goal with her first kick within the opening minute of the game.

She finished with five disposals and five hitouts in an encouraging debut performance.
Rounding out the top five is workhorse Julia Crockett-Grills.
The tough onballer won 15 disposals (73% efficiency) and finished with a game-high six tackles.
