After 10 years with the Geelong Football Club, Troy Selwood has accepted a role in recruiting and list management at the Collingwood Football Club.
Selwood made an outstanding contribution to the Cats. He joined the club in November 2010 as both football operations assistant and VFL captain. Selwood was promoted to football operations coordinator in 2013, football operations manager in 2014, and talent ID manager in 2017, a role he has held for over four years. Selwood retired from the VFL in 2013 after captaining the VFL team to the 2012 premiership.
“Troy has been a valued contributor and colleague at our club for a decade, and we wish him all the very best in the next chapter of his career,” Geelong’s general manager of football Simon Lloyd said.
“Troy held a number of positions and did an exceptional job in each of these roles. He will complete a handover in the coming weeks before moving to his new position at Collingwood.”
