GEELONG midfielder Brandan Parfitt has been adjudged best-on-ground by the coaches for his performance in the Cats’ 10-point victory against Collingwood on Saturday.
Chris Scott and Nathan Buckley gave the talented 23-year-old nine votes after his dominant effort in the middle of the ground with 30 disposals (12 contested), eight score involvements and 544 metres gained.
Tom Hawkins was rewarded for his unselfish display in attack for the Cats with eight votes.
The reigning Coleman Medallist kicked a game-high three goals and was influential in setting up goal scoring opportunities for his teammates with 12 score involvements.
Defender Tom Stewart and skipper Joel Selwood each received five votes.
Stewart was outstanding down back for the Cats and played a big role in helping restrict Collingwood to their lowest half time score at the MCG since 2005.
He finished with 23 disposals (87% efficiency), seven intercepts and a game-high three contested marks.
Selwood continued this excellent form with 26 disposals and six clearances.
Magpie Jordan De Goey rounded out the votes with three.
