Australia's best network.
A big positive to come from Geelong's 2024 season was the consistency of Jack Henry, who continues to be one of the AFL's top defenders.
After two injury-interrupted seasons in 2022 and 2023, Henry was able to play all 25 games last year while matching up against a number of the competition's best forwards.
Henry led the Cats in contested marks and 1% efforts in 2024, while also ranking in the AFL's top 15 players for spoils (14th) and intercept possessions (10th).
Announced late in the season, Henry has signed a five year contract extension which will see him remain with the Cats until at least the end of 2029.

Geelong Football Club acknowledges Wadawurrung as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land on which our club, our families and our communities work and play. We pay our respects to Elders of the past, the present, and those that will lead their collective future. Kardinyu, in Wadawurrung language is the place of the morning sun, a place of deep cultural connection and significance, a meeting place since the beginning of time. We are honoured to walk with the Wadawurrung People, to listen, respect and talk together on our journey on Wadawurrung Country.
