Chloe Scheer continues to take her game to a new level each season, and played an integral role as the Cats upped their scoring ability in 2023. Scheer finished equal-second in the AFLW goalkicking tally in 2023 with 18 for the season – just two behind winners Kate Hore and Eden Zanker from Melbourne. It was a career-best season in front of goals for Scheer, one of the most dynamic forwards in the competition, with her 20 goals after the Cats’ finals campaign far eclipsing her previous best of 13 goals in a season. A strong-marking forward who loves to take a hanger, Scheer also enjoyed her most accurate season in front of goal, converting 74 per cent of her scoring shots to goals.
