Becky Webster has taken her game to new level with a move back to defence after rising in league rankings as a bullocking midfielder in recent seasons. After a delayed start to the 2023 season with a hamstring injury, Webster made an immediate impact in her return. Launching the Cats off half-back through the middle of the ground – and occasionally sneaking forward for a trademark long-bomb goal – Webster enjoyed a career-high average in disposals (17.9) and won plenty of outside ball, with a team-high 12.5 uncontested possessions per game. Webster has been part of the Player Leadership Group since Season 7.
