Geelong has passed 40,000 members as the club continues to push for a new membership record in 2014.

The Cats are seeking to reach 50,000 for the first time and have introduced a range of member activities aimed at maximising the member experience.

“We are pleased our supporters continue to support the club by taking out membership,” Geelong’s general manager of commercial operations Steve Hocking said.

“We have enjoyed a good start to the season and we believe this will continue. The club had never reached 45,000 members, which is our next land mark, however our goal for 2014 is 50,000. We will continue to strive to hit that mark.

"To reach where we are today has been through our members continuing to renew along with around 6,000 new members."

“There is a wide range of member packages that start at $50. There has never been a better time to be a Geelong member.”
