Liv Barber is set to play her first NAB AFL Women's game of 2022 after being named to take on the Western Bulldogs in Friday night's clash.
Barber impressed in the VFLW last weekend in her first outing since returning from a PCL injury sustained during the 2021 VFLW season.
The forward/ruck picked up 17 disposals, had 12 hitouts and kicked three goals as the Cats stormed to a 59-point victory over Carlton.
Barber is one of two inclusions for the Cats, alongside fellow 2020 draftee Darcy Moloney, who is straight back into the line-up after serving a one-match suspension.
Moloney’s tenacity around the footy has been a highlight this season, and she famously kicked the winning goal against the West Coast Eagles in Round 5.
Laura Gardiner and Madisen Maguire have both been omitted, and have been named as emergencies for the clash.
The Cats take on the Western Bulldogs at Victoria University Whitten Oval on Friday, 18 February from 7.10pm.
