Henry on what the Cats can achieve this year

Definitely, I think our group can be right up with the best in the competition this year.

You would be silly not to think so about your own team, because everyone has put in so much hard work. We are immersed in it all, the belief is there so we are excited.

We are going to give it our best shot, hopefully that runs into the back end of the season.

We are pretty confident that the list and the way that everyone has been training, that we definitely won't be taking a step backwards. 

Henry on his goals for 2025

Every year you learn and you take something different, your goals change from that.

I never have been one to really look too far forward, to try and hit a certain number of goals or anything like that.

Being a good teammate has always been something for me, that I would feel sick if I failed to achieve.

Every year it changes, but this year I am trying to put my best foot forward for the team and that really sings through for me. 

Henry on what he has been working on

Training over the pre-season, I have been trying to gain some consistency and putting in lots of effort into all types of scenarios.

Just gelling with the team as well, coming in younger in that forward line alongside Shannon, Jeremy and those boys have been pretty key this pre-season. We want to work well in a dynamic, that has developed well and we are pretty excited to start playing and showcasing it. 

Every year there is going to be changes, whether that is personnel or the game plan.

I assume there is going to be times that we have to call upon new players, with new roles so there will be differences through that. For a lot of it though it will be pretty similar to last year. 

Henry on life after Tom Hawkins

'Hawk' was such a good leader and a good person, so he is sorely missed at times in that regard.

We have got so much leadership growth in people like Shannon Neale, Gryan Miers, Brad Close and Jeremy Cameron is really stepping up as well.

Not to mention countless others that have taken on different roles since 'Hawk' left, everyone has learned something from him so he is still here in some aspects.

That is the mark he has left on us.
