Lachie Henderson
Was named in the Cats' initial squad to play Fremantle but withdrew on Friday due to groin soreness. Remains a chance to take on Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night but will have to prove himself on training track this week.
Zac Smith
Was named as an emergency for the clash with the Dockers after being omitted from the AFL side. Then didn't play in the VFL so should be fresh if the coaches decide they want him to take on Giants big man Shane Mumford on Saturday night.
Jordan Cunico
Was also named in the initial squad to face Fremantle but withdrew after rolling his ankle at training on the Friday. Will be given the opportunity to prove himself on the training track this week.
Wylie Buzza
Was named in the best players yet again after the VFL Cats' big win over North Ballarat on Sunday. Finished the game with 18 disposals, 14 hit-outs and a goal.
Jackson Thurlow
Was named as an emergency for the AFL game against Fremantle. Ended up playing three quarters in the VFL against North Ballarat, racking up 21 disposals and eight clearances.
