Geelong defender Tom Stewart has been referred directly to the AFL tribunal, after a first quarter incident with Richmond’s Dion Prestia in Saturday night’s game.
Stewart has been charged with rough conduct and the incident was assessed by the Match Review Officer as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.
The AFL will confirm when the Tribunal hearing will take place.
Additionally, Jeremy Cameron has been charged with wrestling Richmond’s Marlion Pickett during the second quarter of the game. Cameron can accept a $1000 sanction with an early guilty plea.
